About
Gail's PhD is in Linguistics from The University of Chicago and she has extensive experience in tutoring and teaching writing, as well as conducting postdoctoral research on communication, linguistics, rhetoric, and education. She's been involved in teaching and research about writing for more than twenty years, and has published articles and book chapters on topics such as the use of linguistic perspectives in teaching writing and how students learn the specialized discourse of scientific argumentation. She has experience helping students in middle school, high school, college and graduate school.
